Let me explain.
A looonnng time ago, Say like middle school for me, I started going through video game angst. I didn't like main stream games so much and didn't like what my friends were paying BUT I SURVIVED.
Then LATER... it would turns out ALL my friends started going through the same thing... I was shocked, and Began research immediately. I had three friends and while each had similar symptoms each had a different result.
One doesn't matter for this thread (though if someone wants to discuss my thought on micro game communities and the current state of the FPS gaming community and how it has change since Halo 3, pleas ask.) And the second one makes sense at the end of this explanation, BUT THE THIRD! The third friend who actually makes sense most of the time when I diagnosed his symptoms I realized, they were just like mine. (apparently I ha video game angst really REALLY early.) Comparing and contrasting both our cases I learned video game angst is the effect of feeling their aren't any good games out their. Which is crazy right?
I mean their are tons of games out their so I wondered how someone could fall prey to this mind set, then I realized, Your only aware of the games you hear about. And wen your young how do you hear about games?
By what's main stream.
See basically he fell into Game angst because the mainstream games didn't quite meet what he wanted to play.
I feel into it because... well I miss the days when every other game that came out was labeled action adventure (SLLY COOPPPERRRR)
SO! you may be wondering Why does any of that matter?
It maters because I forgot why I made this thread after I made it and had to retrace my steps to get back to why I made it. You can skip everything before this and just read from here.
Though I forgot again... ONE sec (re read what I wrote...)
It matters because I found out that what's main stream is a very SMALL amount of the games that are actually out their, My third friend got out of game angst just because hes a hipster and plays games he hears recommended on TUMBLR and skype n stuff.
So I thought we could use this thread to recommend games that we've played that people may not have heard of, and tell why we liked them. like at the top so as not to get ppls hopes up.
that my idea. SO I'll go first
